Hello, Dear Ones,
As you read this, we have just returned from two-and-a-half weeks in and around
the Mediterranean on a lovely cruise. I remember reading The Beautiful Woman by
Anne Ortlund, and as she was writing it, she was on a Mediterranean cruise, so I took
that book with me and re-read it on this adventure. Earlier, when I was a pre-teen, we
lived in Istanbul, Turkey, so that area seems like a second home to me. I love the slower
pace, the wonderful history, the different cultures.
And I love doors. Old doors. Carved doors. Wooden doors. I take pictures of them
and share them with a large group of door-people worldwide. The doors are older than
our country, in many cases.
Our cruise was a time of refreshing, interesting sights, wonderful cuisine and we
came home with lists of things we want to accomplish: landscaping, fixing cars, sewing
for grandchildren and myself. We love our vacations and we love coming home.
